Excessive bump steer makes a car unpredictable and unstable, especially over uneven surfaces or during high-speed driving. Excessive bump steer makes a car unpredictable and unstable, especially over uneven surfaces or during high-speed driving. It also leads to uneven tire wear and reduced steering precision.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou can correct bump steer by adjusting the tie rod pickup point using an adjustable outer tie rod kit with shims or spacers. Although these may look pretty similar to other tie rod ends on the market, don't be fooled as they are different (in a good way). Almost all tie rod ends on the market that use rose joints are NOT using high misalignment bearings and wear out in no time at all.
