ATI Performance Products, Inc. is proud to introduce its renowned Super Damper for the Mitsubishi Evolution 8 & 9 and 4G63 DSM Eclipse, Talon, Laser & Galant VR-4, including the popular 2.4L 4G64. The SFI Certified ATI Super Damper provides unmatched performance and engine protection for motors that turn over 6,000 RPM and is a direct replacement for the stock OEM unit. The outer shells are machined to utilize the factory serpentine belt set-up—the Evo Damper provides a single serpentine belt drive, while the DSM/Eclipse Damper has dual serpentine drives. Both dampers mount to the factory crank via a custom steel hub which replaces the stock timing gear for improved dampening at high RPM. In addition, both dampers can accommodate a trigger wheel for more accurate crank angle readings for aftermarket engine management systems. The Evolution Dampers (Part # 918250) and DSM/Eclipse Dampers (Part # 918251) exceed SFI 18.1 Safety Certification and are approved for both the NHRA & IHRA competition, where SFI-spec crank pulleys are required for vehicles running 10.99 or faster.
