As with almost all products GKTech design, they're made from actual need from their own personal experience. Whilst doing a quick coolant bleed on their low km BRZ development vehicle recently, the factory plastic bleeder port decided to self destruct into small fragments.
With the prospect of the OEM plastic unit doing it again, they decided to make their own CNC machined aluminium version. To make life easier, they have also slotted the bleeder plug so that it doesn't need to be removed all the way to bleed the system. Being aluminium, this unit is guaranteed to last for life.
